Copper coated in
a layer of colored enamel. These are saw cut and the ends are
copper colored. Using this wire gives you a wide range of
colors to add to your jewelry pieces. This is a permanent
color, but it will chip off with your pliers if you're not
careful.
TIP:
Since copper does tarnish easily, here is a
little home remedy to keep your copper looking
like a shiny new penny. Fill a plastic
container with enough white vinegar to cover
your pieces, add 1 Tablespoon of salt and let
your pieces soak for 5-30 minutes depending on
size. I have also done this with some of the
items I have made with copper and enamel jump
rings and it works like a dream on those as
well. It did not damage the enamel rings at
all.
